Good Questions a Traveler Should Ask on the Hospital Interview |
 |
| |
We recently had a team meeting with all of our recruiters about the idea of creating a list of recommended questions that Travelers should ask when interviewing for a Travel position with a Hospital. The recruiters also intend to ask the hospitals these questions to get a better idea of what the traveler should expect when they get there. We firmly believe that the better our recruiters are at setting proper expectations of the Travel assignment, the happier you will be. Below are the list of questions we came up with for you to ask regardless if you are interviewing through our agency or another.

- What is the patient to nurse ratio?
- How many beds are in the unit I will be working in?
- Is there a different ratio for the day shift and the night shift?
- What type of patients will I be treating in this unit?
- How many nurses are on per shift?
- Confirm any special request:
- Days off
- Holidays
- 48 hr work week
- Shift
- Any call required
- Start date
- Will floating be required? And if so, to what units?
- How is floating assigned? Is it on a rotational basis, or assigned to traveling RN?
